Phase 2 improvements for Haleko Road, Pua Loke Street intersection to begin Wednesday

The Department of Water (DOW) has announced that Phase 2 of construction work will begin Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the intersection of Haleko Road, Old Nawiliwili Road and Pua Loke Street. Two-way traffic will continue to be allowed through the area until further notice.
 
Utility and intersection improvements are being made by Unlimited Construction Services Inc. for the DOW’s Lihue Baseyard Improvements Project.
 
Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the work area, allow extra time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes if possible.
 
The DOW and Unlimited Construction Services Inc. thanks residents and visitors for their patience and apologizes for any inconvenience.

Phase 2 – One lane of Haleko Road, near King Auto Center and Old Nawiliwili Road, will be closed Wednesday until further notice. Two-way traffic will still be allowed through the area.
