The Kauai Museum and Daughters of Hawaii presents a book release and music event with Noelani Kanoho Mahoe at the Kauai Museum Courtyard on Thursday, August 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Noelani Kanoho Mahoe will be releasing her book/CD set “Ho’ahu ‘Ana O Na Mele,” which is a collection of songs, stories and pictures. Noelani will engage the audience with singing and book signing.

At 82, Noelani (Aunty Noe) has been singing for as long as she can remember. As a young girl, she helped launch the Tradewinds record label with a hit recording of Palisa on the flip side of Beyond the Reef.

This book and CD set is unlike any Hawaiian songbook published before. It features 26 Hawaiian songs; each with lyrics, score, chords and professional recording, this set is a complete reference for musicians of all skill levels.

All proceeds from Ho’ahu ‘Ana O Na Mele book set will benefit the Lunalilo Home.

Donations are welcomed to support Kauai Museum.
