3rd Annual RumFest at RumFire Poipu Beach

Sheraton Kauai Resort is proud to present its 3rd Annual RumFest at RumFire Poipu Beach in advance of National Rum Day from 5:30 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015. The event will be held in the resort’s open-air Ocean Courtyard and will feature a variety of rums, island music from Pono Breez and Pure Harmony and locally inspired plate lunches from Starwood Kauai. The cost of entry is free, and the event is open to all ages. Patrons must be 21 or older for the rum tasting.

Event goers will enjoy socializing around the Ocean Courtyard’s fire pits and connecting with global and local premium rums at RumFest at RumFire’s tasting stations. A variety of rums will be available, and guests are welcome to try pre-set flights of five rums for $5 per flight. A cash bar will be available for rum-based cocktails.

Tastings are complemented by locally inspired plate lunches from the RumFire Poipu Beach kitchen at Sheraton Kauai Resort, St. Regis Princeville and The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort for $10 each.

Following the event and complimentary entertainment from Pono Breez and Pure Harmony in the Ocean Courtyard, the festivities will move into RumFire Poipu Beach for dancing from 10 p.m. to midnight with DJ Mike Lopez. Cost for entry is $10 per person.

RumFire Poipu Beach is the south shore’s hotspot for oceanfront dining and boasts over 180-degree views from all of its 240 seats. Guests dining at RumFire enjoy locally sourced cuisine with a global twist such as the Coconut-Crab Luau Dip, Kaua‘i Shrimp & Clams, and signature Crab-Crusted Catch of the Day. Tantalizing cocktails include the refreshing RumFire Mango Mojito and customizable Mai Tais.
