The Hanalei Pier is seen here on the day after a Fourth of July celebration.

If you want to extend the Fourth of July fun an extra day, join the 14th Annual Hanalei Beach cleanup Sunday, July 5, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park, sponsored by the St. Regis Princeville Resort.

Each year, Independence Day celebrations leave exploded fireworks debris on the Hanalei Bay shoreline. The beach cleanup on the day after is part of the St. Regis Princeville’s service initiatives to collaborate with community partners for the betterment of Kaua‘i.

St. Regis Princeville Resort is welcoming anyone to join in the July 5 efforts to preserve Hanalei Bay. Bring gloves, a hat and sunscreen. Refreshments, water and juice will be provided, and each volunteer will be given the chance to win prizes.

This year’s event is also supported by the Makai Golf Club, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, Wyndham Vacation Resort Kaua‘i, Hanalei Bay Resort, Princeville Ranch Adventures the County of Kaua‘i, and many individual residents and visitors, all of whom come together for a successful community event each year.

Contact Kelly Kaona at The St. Regis Princeville Resort at 826-2218 for more information or to volunteer.
