Reminder: Permanent closure of left-turn lane on Hardy Street starts tomorrow

Motorists are reminded that starting tomorrow, May 7, there will be a permanent closure of the left-turn lane on Hardy Street at the Kūhiō Highway intersection. Left-turns from Hardy Street onto Kūhiō Highway will not be allowed.

Westbound motorists can make a left turn at the Rice Street/Kaumuali‘i Highway intersection where there are two left-turn lanes.

The traffic safety and circulation improvements to the area are being made as a collaborative effort between the county and the state.
