When it’s tee time to support local nurses, the Mokihana Club has it covered.

The 13th Annual Mokihana Golf Scramble was a success last week, with many golfers participating in the sole fundraiser for the Mokihana Club Nursing Education Scholarship given each year through Kaua‘i Community College.

To date, Mokihana Club has presented about $112,000 in scholarships through KCC’s Nursing Education Program.

The event at Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Club April 18 was a four-person scramble with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The $115 entry fee covered greens fees, carts, prizes and an onsite luncheon catered by Contemporary Flavors Catering.

There was also a large silent auction in the luncheon venue.

The Mokihana Club, celebrating its 110th anniversary this year, is the oldest women’s social and civic organization on Kaua‘i.
