RICE STREET is changing, and the county & community want YOU to talk about it–

voice your thoughts about walking it, biking it, driving it, doing business along it…

…well, you get the idea; your voice is important to the process.

 

MONDAY, 11/17 4:30 pm, beginning at Civic Centerʻs Moikeha/round building)

Mayor Carvalho will kick off the week by leading a Rice Street walk from the

Lihue Civic Center to the Kauai Beer Company. YOUʻRE INVITED TO JOIN HIM.

The plan for the street reconfiguration will be unveiled there, about 5:30.

TUESDAY, 11/18, 7:30-8:30 am, Kauai War Memorial Convention Center

Weʻll walk again along Rice, looking at and chatting about existing conditions.

WEDNESDAY, 11/19, 8:00-9:30 am, Ha Coffee Bar, 4180 Rice St.

The Rice Street re-striping plans will be presented, with lots of time for your input.

ALSO, 4:30-5:30 pm, Kauai War Memorial Convention Center

Another chance to stroll along Rice, chatting about existing conditions & possibilities.

THURSDAY, 11/20, 6:00-7:30 pm, Lihue Civic Center, Planning Commission room

Rice re-striping plans will again be presented, with lots of time for your input.

AND ALSO Tuesday, 11/18 through Friday, 12/5

Plans for Rice Street and paper for you to comment—thoughts, criticisms, ideas—

anything you want to write about the street and the environment around it—

will be posted at four places in town:

HA COFFEE BAR, 4180 Rice St.

KAUAI BEER COMPANY, 4265 Rice St.

LIHUE CIVIC CENTER, Kapule bldg lobby, 4444 Rice St.

LIHUE PUBLIC LIBRARY, 4344 Hardy St.
