Ron Soderstrom and Navitan Circus Art put together “Insight,” which they called “an interactive variety show of inspirational proportions” late last month.

The event at Lihu‘e Parish Hall on Sept. 27 opened with a comic number by improv artists Thalyn Nikolau and Emma Palumbo, playing the Wise Guys.

Soderstrom, no stranger to stage arts, then led a humorous group-hypnosis lasting through the remaining of the first act.

Candy girl Corinne Lomsky hovered around the venue selling candy and water during the intermission.

When the show resumed, Navitan’s Becca Feller and Flip del Viento did some impressive solo performances, followed by an entertaining opera performance by Nikolau and Soderstrom’s number on the aerial silks.

Del Viento and Feller then teamed up for a duet performance to end the night.

Roderstrom said this show was just the first of many more, so stay tuned for their next event.
