Sheraton Kauai Resort Supports Life’s Bridges in August

Sheraton Kauai Resort announces its “You Dine, We Donate” program will benefit Life’s Bridges in August 2014. All net food and beverage proceeds at Table 53 in the resort’s signature restaurant, RumFire Poipu Beach, will be donated to Life’s Bridges for the month-long fundraiser. Since its inception in October 2012, the Table 53 program has raised over $70,000 to benefit the Kaua‘i community.

RumFire Poipu Beach, the south shore’s oceanfront hot spot, features locally sourced cuisine with global influences, exciting cocktails to ignite your palate and 180-degree oceanfront views from all of its 240 seats. Table 53 features private booth seating overlooking the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard, inviting fire pits, and Kaua‘i’s stunning sunsets. Guests can enjoy nightly specials and signature RumFire favorites all while supporting a worthy cause.

Per capita, Kaua‘i has more suicide deaths than anywhere else in the State of Hawai‘i, and suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 15 to 34. Life’s Bridges is a volunteer-based organization providing immediate, short-term and long-term bereavement services through the Bridges Emergency Support Team (B.E.S.T.) for those whose family members suddenly pass away. The organization also provides educational programs such as its youth suicide prevention program, KLAS (Kauai Leaders Against Suicide), and has trained more than 500 high school students on suicide prevention and awareness.

“We really want to encourage our family and friends to come out and have a great time and celebrate life while supporting Life’s Bridges,” says Gina Kaulukukui, Executive Director.

Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s month-long “You Dine, We Donate” program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808.742.4786 and requesting Table 53. The table is available on a first come, first serve basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table #53 during dinner service will be donated to Life’s Bridges, gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
