Aqua Hotels & Resorts, a division of Aqua Hospitality, is pleased to announce that Aqua Bamboo Waikiki and Aqua Kauai Beach Resort are recipients of the Hawaii Green Business Award. The award recognizes achievements byHawaii businesses and entities in the area of energy efficiency.

Aqua Bamboo Waikiki is a second-time recipient of this prestigious award and received a Pookela (Excellent) rating for its overall conservation efforts. Aqua Kauai Beach Resort is a first-time Green Business Award recipient, receiving a Kaulike (Good – To Achieve Balance) rating for implementing its green initiatives.

The annual awards are sponsored by the state Department of Health, the state Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. Lieutenant Governor Shan Tsutsui presented the awards to the Aqua Hospitality team during a ceremony at the State Capitol on Friday, July 11, 2014.
