image004 image005The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas announced the 2014 recipients for its 2nd Annual Scholarship Program. The recipients, Gabriel Abrams of Princeville and Aaron “A.J.” Cummings, Jr., of Kīlauea, will each receive $1,500 to aid in the cost of pursuing higher education.

A recent graduate of Kapa‘a High School, Cummings is interested in becoming a civil engineer and will attend Feather River College in Quincy, California. His mother is Lani Cummings, Senior Marketing Services Coordinator at The Westin Princeville. Abrams, currently enrolled at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, is pursuing a career in education and aspires to be a university professor. His mother, Mele Abrams, is a Kid’s Club Attendant and yoga instructor at the resort.

The annual scholarship funds are raised through year-round, resort-wide efforts by Westin Princeville staff. Associates of The Westin Princeville, their children and grandchildren are eligible to apply for the yearly educational scholarship.
