KAUAI NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HOSTS 2014 ANNUAL FITNESS FAIR AND SUP SPRINT

Enjoy a Fun Family Event atHanalei Bay and Support the Future of Kauai’s Health & Wellness

Kauai, HI (August, 14, 2014) –Kauai residents and visitors, start your training and mark your calendar for the 2014 annual North Shore Fitness Fair and SUP Sprint presented by The Kauai North Shore Community Foundation.  The inaugural event at Hanalei Bay is free to attend andofferspre-registration for two competitions: a Fit Challengeand an SUP Sprint.  Fitness demonstrationswith local Jiu-Jitsu champion Bruno Ewald, a fitness expo, live musicfrom Group Therapy, and a silent auction (including a private SUP lesson with Laird Hamilton)lendto afun afternoon atKauai’s beautiful Hanalei Bay.

WHEN:Saturday, August 30, 2014.  7 AM to 3 PM.

WHERE:Waioli Beach Park (Pinetrees). Hanalei, Kauai.

EVENT DETAILS: Attendance is free.  Keiki and adults of all agesand fitness levelsare encouragedto participate in theFit Challenge and/or SUP Sprint.

-The Fit Challenge consists of three, one-minutetimed events: jump rope, push-ups, and sit-ups.

-The SUP Sprint is a stand-up paddleboard race on an approximately half-mile course on Hanalei Bay.

Male andfemale divisions for both events and age groups include: Keiki 12 & under, Teen 13-19, Adult 20-39,Adult 40-59, & Adult 60-99.  Medals will be awarded to top division competitors.

REGISTRATIONDETAILS: $5 pre-registration before Friday, August 22nd.  $10 registration after August 22ndor at event.  Only one registration fee for one or both events.  All proceeds directly support the Foundation’s Health & Wellness initiatives.

Pre-registered participants are entered into a drawing to win “The Golf & Grub Package”: 1 round of golf for 2 at Makai Golf Club or Prince Golf Course + $50 dining certificate at the new Hideaways Pizza Pub restaurant.  (2 winners)
