Twenty-three competitors from Hawai`i, California, Nevada and Virginia entered the 2012 Aloha Classic held December 1 at the Lihu`e Neighborhood Center. Kevin Jones, owner of Power Plus Personal Training and a competitive bodybuilder and power lifter, put together a team from Kaua`i, who competed in men’s bodybuilding, women’s physique, women’s figure, bikini divas and teen fitness events.

Jones’ team spent months training and following strict dietary regulations, and it paid off. Cindy Oda, 48, took 1st place in the masters figure and 2nd place in the masters bikini diva; Naea Oda, 16, won 1st place in teen fitness.

More winners include Cissy Dennis, 29, who took 2nd place in the bikini divas and 3rd place in women’s figure; and Kevin Jones, 49, who took 3rd place in masters bodybuilding.

It was an all-natural event, drug-tested and sponsored by the combined Amateur Bodybuilding Association; International Natural Bodybuilding Association; and Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association. This combo is the fastest growing natural organization in the world.

Says Jones, “This will be an annual event to be held on the first Saturday in December.”
